3rd year student + jobs!

im more worried at the fact that there seems to be very few jobs for nurses here. All the trusts in the area have put in place major cut backs an arent taking any new staff on so the chance of me finding a job in northern ireland are looking pretty slim

Hi, did you all manage to get a job ok?

I am a 3rd Year student due to finish at xmas and too am worried about getting a job and I am actually terrified of qualifying, I just dont feel ready?

Anyway hope you all managed to get jobs and please let me know it was all ok in the end lol.

Hi there i have just started my 3rd year in April just gone i am probably the most under confident student nurse ever after a few bad placements so your not alone. It really does depend on what mentors you get! i came into nursing to work in A and E only lol nothing else ever interested me. What type of jobs do you all want? :)

hello everyone,
I qualified 2 months ago job prospects are looking quite dim. Only one job came up in my local trust, i applied for that but I was unsuccessful.I have applied to many nursing homes but i have been unsuccessful. If I had known this would have been the situation, I would have not done all that study. I found it very difficult to study with a young family. I got very good results, but current employers only look at experience which I do have from the course but that is not considered. I didn't realize that at the ed there would be no job. I hope the situation improves.
