A midwife from Inverness has been elected the NMC's new alternate council member for midwives in Scotland.

A midwife from Inverness has been elected the NMC's new alternate council member for midwives in Scotland.

Catherine Mackay, who works as a staff midwife at Raigmore Hospital, has almost 30 years of practice and management experience.

Ms Mackay said her involvement in implementing Agenda for Change across NHS Highland would be of benefit to her appointment.
