Sister is rewarded for theatre care

SENIOR nursing sister and operating theatre team leader Patricia Pearson (pictured) has been recognised for her high standard of perioperative care at Bedford's Luton and Dunstable hospital.

SENIOR nursing sister and operating theatre team leader Patricia Pearson (pictured) has been recognised for her high standard of perioperative care at Bedford's Luton and Dunstable hospital.

Her communication with patients went beyond that normally expected of a team leader, said judges of the Association for Perioperative Practice's Ethicon practitioner of the year award.

'All that we do, we do to improve the lives of each and every patient we treat,' Ms Pearson said. 'To be recognised for having made a positive difference to patient care is a great honour.'
