- I work with a lady with Down's syndrome who is paranoid that people are looking at her. If the truth be known, they are. Why is it that so many nurses have little or no understanding of challenges that face these people every day? Beebarton

- Usually people who need this amount of extra support have a key worker (or support worker) who attends appointments etc with them. So they are getting extra support. Isn't that what the role of a key/support worker means? Chestnut

- Are you really being fair to nurses? I have never witnessed staff offering less than a high level of care. I have never seen anyone being discriminated against for having a disability. Dozens of patients suffer with hearing or sight deficits. The majority cope perfectly well without needing extra care. Nloup
