A move to health visiting

I am a midwife and I would like to go on to do health visiting. How do i go about this, for example can you tell me anything about sponsorship, where to apply.

Answer:

The move from midwifery to health visiting will probably not attract sponsorship. I suggest that first of all you find out which Trusts, GP Practices or other appropriate organisations have a need for health visitors or control the activities of health visitors in you area.

Then you should approach in order to have a face-to-face talk with the people in charge of health visiting. In this way you will get all the information you need about your acceptability and the possibility of obtaining a place on a health visiting course, also you will be making a contact and profiling yourself.
