Comment on: Nurses at forefront of brain tumour treatment
A dedicated unit for these patients with a specialist team to care for them is a very welcome development. For nurses who may wish to specialised in neuro and who wish to work in this area it provides a means to further their education and develop the appropriate skills to care for these patients.

Comment on: Why are nurses acting like rude shop assistants?
We have all at sometime experienced being on the receiving end of rudeness, therefore know how undermined and upset we feel when it happens. Think then how patients, ill, anxious, vulnerable and in a strange environment must feel when a nurse or any member of staff is rude to them. Nurses by virtue of their education (regardless of whether it is university or not), awareness, experience and common sense must know that being rude to a patient is not acceptable in any circumstances. It is very difficult and demoralising having to cope with rude and unsupportive managers but 'dignity in the workplace' and respect for colleagues applies to them also and has nothing to do with rank. If they expect to be treated with courtesy and civility then they too must behave likewise.

Comment on: The ice cream that changed my approach to nursing
This is a lovely reminder to all of us very how important the 'seemingly small' things are. Thank you

Comment on: Guns don't kill people, Facebook does
I agree with the commment here that we don't have to read or take seriously what we read or see on FB, and that it is essentially harmless fun. Users have to realise that they and they alone are responsible for they post on the site, and be aware that they also have to take and deal with the reaction they get, whatever it may be.
