Online editor's blog: What can nursingtimes.net do for you?

NT online editor Gabriel Fleming on shedding blood for the job, plus a round-up of exciting new developments on nursingtimes.net

This blog is my chance to tell you what's new, what you need to read, and what's coming next on nursingtimes.net. More importantly, it's an opportunity for you  to tell us what you think about the site - and what else you would like to see. Just click the 'post your response' button at the bottom of this page, or click here to email me. All cleanly-worded requests will be considered.

It's not often someone in my gentle line of work has to shed blood for the job. But last week I found myself on the receiving end of not only a needle, but a 12-lead ECG, venepuncture and CPR to boot. Thankfully, I was replaced by a mannequin for the latter's more intimate moments.

It was all filmed, and all in the name of providing professional online training videos for nurses, which launch October. I have made it clear that my acting services will not be available should we cover catheterisation.

Elsewhere, our blogging team is going from strength to strength, with a front-line critical care nurse and a keen but disgruntled student the newest recruits. And don't miss the ever-lively stream of consciousness from mental health nurse Simon Daniels and RCN advisor Lynn Young's expert view on primary care.

Our news reporters are out covering the Labour Party conference, including Gordon Brown's plans to abolish cancer prescription charges and new plans for free school meals.

On NT Clinical, we have a new section on pain management , as well as our archive of over 4,000 peer-reviewed clinical articles .

Again, if there is anything you like, don't like, or would love to see, please click 'post your response' to let us know.
