Children’s medicines information leaflets launched
The leaflets, on 25 commonly used medicines, aim to provide appropriate and accurate information about dosages, side-effects and general advice for those administering medicines to infants, children and young people. Topics cover medicines for pain and epilepsy.
They were developed by the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, the Neonatal and Paediatric Pharmacists Group and children’s charity WellChild.
Medicines are supplied with a patient information leaflet but these usually focus on the use of the medicine in adults and may not be relevant to children.
Online training units, written and reviewed by experts. Earn two hours' CPD and a personalised certificate for your portfolio.
Subscribers get five FREE learning units and non-subscribers can access each learning unit for £10 + VAT.
