More than 12,000 people around the UK have signed a petition calling for improved services for people with lung disease.

The petition was handed into Downing Street as part of Breathe Easy Week, organised by the British Lung Foundation.

The petition supports the British Lung Foundations charter for better diagnosis, treatment and care of people affected by lung disease.

One in seven people are affected by lung disease in the UK and it is the second biggest killer after non-respiratory cancers.
