Nurses and other staff are to be encouraged to rate their employer in a major new set of awards launched this week.

The Healthcare 100, being run jointly by NT and Health Service Journal, seeks to identify the top healthcare employers. The survey, conducted by Ipsos MORI, evolves from the NT Top 100 and includes a category specifically for nurses.

The survey is being run in association with NHS Employers and will be launched this week at its staff engagement conference in London.

Alastair Henderson, joint acting director at NHS Employers, said: 'The awards give staff the chance to vote for trusts they believe are excellent employers and deserve recognition.'

Category sponsors are: NMC, NHS Institute for Innovation and Improvement, NHS Professionals, The Improvement Foundation, Airwave, PA Consulting, Tribal and Zenon Consulting.
