Comment on: Student nurse blog: Caring a little too much?
I agree with you Louise, however, I think that we as nurses need to try to not get too attached with our patients and to have faith in our MDT. We are all here to work together ad have to appreciate that we will all do things differently but this does not mean that we are more capable than the next nurse. For our own well being, we should try our best to try leave our work where it is and be the best that a nurse can be when on the wards, out in the community or wherever we choose to practice.

Comment on: Student nurse blog: What I love about nursing
I am about to start my first placement in a couple of weeks and have heard experiences of the dreaded mentors that some people get where they are mostly in it for promotion. I think that as long as we are passionate and driven by what we do then I am sure that we can all be great nurses in 2-3 years time. I can not wait!!

Comment on: Student nurse blog: I have no time to myself, but I love it
I am a first year student nurse and have experienced the same with people seeking advise :) I think that it all started on the 2nd day of starting uni! I also go through the same guilty feeling when I pick up a magazine to browse through or a 'non-nursing' book and have to say that I actually miss them when I don't have my head stuck in one. I love what I do and would not change it for the world. There are ups and down, happy times and sad times but it all feels worth it when someone thanks you for all the hard work we are doing for them. Good luck to everyone, keep up the good work!

Comment on: Student nurse performs life-saving resusitation on her own doorstep
This is what nursing is all about, as a student nurse, I have had a similar emergnecy situation and think that auto pilot mode sets in and you feed of adrenaline! Well Done Claire. You must feel very proud.
