My concerns are that, given the alarming figures suggesting that this deverstaing disease and it's effects, not just on the sufferers and thier carers, but on whole of community and health lelated servives, is that many of the facilities are being lost to those in greatest need due to cost cutting and short term thinking amoungst those who plan these things. Certainly, in my area of West London, there are very few facilities available, and those which do exist amost without exception, currently 'under review' or have closed in recent months. Given the huge numbers of people involved, which, as the report makes clear, will only exculate dramatically in the very near future, one would have hoped and believed that trusts and Central Government would review this sad policy and begin to put in place more facilities to enable people to find a way of having thier immediate and longer term needs met when they are in greatest need,
