Ive been looking into the route of coming a Epilepsy specialist nurse. I found you can get a grant towards a Professional Diploma in Epilepsy Care. But first i need to get my degree in Nursing. Im starting a access course soon and i need to apply for UCAS soon. I have a idea were i want to study but i just want to know which branch to do. To be a epilepsy specialist nurse do i need to study Adult nursing or learning disabilites nursing?
Im also going to see if i can get some work experince in that field as well.
There are a LOT more people in the country with epilepsy than there are with learning difficulties. Yes - people with learning difficulties often also have epilepsy but many LD people don't, and the majority of epileptics do not have any other problems (myself included).
