  • Comment on: Student nurse blog: A sad farewell, but I will be back

Hi, I know how you feel, I broke my patella (kneecap) in july 08 at the end of my first year of nurse training, I went back to start my second year still on crutches and unfortunately i was not deemed fit enough by the october to go out on placement, so I have been made to defer for a year and restart my second year again this september. I am in limbo at the moment and I must admit the thought of joining a group of 123 students who have had all year to bond is making me feel a little anxious to the point that I am wondering if it is worth putting myself through it again, but as I want to be a nurse so much so that my lovely 3 children can be proud of me I will more than likely go back. So I wish you luck when you return in 7months to your course, spare a thought for me.
