finding it very difficult to find anything on here to do with forums. Anyone else. And where have all the old threads gone?

This site is really awful! It is much fiddlier to access the forums and threads, the adverts are enormous and very intrusive. If this is the new site, please leave the old one up so some of us can join a discussion without enormous flashing ads everywhere.

A truly dreadful new site I cannot think what possessed the creator to think users would like this. There are no benefits to membership here at all.

Anyone found the delete key yet. for say if you post a topic/reply then wish to change/edit/delete. This function seems to have disappeared altogether. Not impressed and i have now played for a while with it.

I dont like this. The ads down the right side are distracting and the background is too pale.

Can't cope with this! Thought I'd gone to the wrong site to start with - then couldn't rememeber the log details!! Why do companies do this. I'll be honest - usually i pop in to have a look most days, not sure I will now.

They also publish your full name, email and location if you are not looking - had to go and edit mine... be careful......

The above caught me out spent 30 mins editing details cause I couldnt find it, by then all man and beast had access to my details (Not impressed). Incidentally Glitter how do you rid yourself of your location yours is not displayed any tip greatfully recieved

Well it's nice to see some of our regulars have joined us on the new platform. Even if you're not fans (yet) :o)

Chestnut - totally agree with you on the ads. They are distracting, but they are a necessary evil that will hopefully help nursingtimes.net stay alive and healthy in tough economic times.

With regards to the design and the functionality of the new forums, we are always open to suggestions from our readers, and if there is a consensus I can take it to my bosses and try and get you the changes you want.

kato1 - really sorry that your email address displayed! This is the first day of our new site and we had a few teething problems. This is now sorted. And if anyone is unhappy with their real name or location being displayed, they can change their profile. If you're not sure how to do this, my colleague Victoria would be happy be help. (020 7728 3716)

Also, on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday next week we are getting nurses in to test the new website so we can improve it. If you'd like to be a tester, get in touch! gabriel.fleming@emap.com

Hi Kato1

if you go to My Account - top right, then you can change your names in My Account, and change which one is used under My Profile - edit my profile.

See if that helps.

yes but you cant change location only on your profile. and what good is that when it is displayed under photo by post for all to see. I cant even find my registered info such as address to change it privacy policy non existent!!

Any info you type into your profile will be public.

"Any information entered in this section will be displayed on your public profile"

So if you don't want other users to see it don't put it in.

All the stuff in My Acount will not be shown.

Everything's changed and I've had to re-register. Not as easy to use and the old threads have gone. What about evolution, rather than revolution, e-map?

When it said "display name" I thought it meant my user name! This is really bad form Administrator!!
