NICE to launch major new information source for NHS staff
Nurses will soon be able to access nursingtimes.net through a comprehensive new web-based service due to be launched by NICE this week.
First outlined in the NHS Next Stage Review last June, NHS Evidence will act as a ‘first point of contact’ for NHS staff by providing a single, online portal through which they can access clinical and non-clinical evidence and best practice.
Incorporating the National Library for Health, NHS Evidence will consolidate information from a wide range of sources to provide information on patient care, commissioning, service management and treatment.
Users will also be able to upload and share their own content – such as local service models and policies – receive alerts about new information, and use links from the portal to access other related sites directly, such as Nursing Times and Health Service Journal.
The new information service goes live on Thursday 30 April.
Online training units, written and reviewed by experts. Earn two hours' CPD and a personalised certificate for your portfolio.
Subscribers get five FREE learning units and non-subscribers can access each learning unit for £10 + VAT.
