Guided Learning and Portfolio Pages

What is Guided Learning?

Guided Learning is peer-reviewed clinical material that supports you in fulfilling your CPD requirements. The series offers units on a range of subjects, published in Nursing Times and developed to enable you to meet key learning objectives.

Each Guided Learning unit is accompanied by Portfolio Pages. These Word documents contain clinically focused activities that enable you to demonstrate you have achieved the unit's learning objectives. Portfolio Pages also contain the unit's full reference list.

Using Guided Learning to document your CPD

To gain the maximum benefit from Guided Learning, read the two-part unit then open the accompanying Portfolio Pages document. If you prefer to work on screen, save the document onto your computer before you start. If you want to work on paper simply print the Portfolio Pages document. The completed Portfolio Pages can then be filed in your professional portfolio.

In order to make your work count towards your five days' CPD for each registration period, make a note on your Portfolio Pages of how long you spent reading the unit (and any further reading you do) and working through the activities.
