Update: ERIC wins award for child health services

Education and Resources for Improving Childhood Continence (ERIC) has been awarded the GlaxoSmithKline IMPACT Award of £30,000. ERIC is the first charity to focus on childhood continence and helps young people with enuresis and other bladder and bowel problems.

Penny Dodson, director of ERIC, said: 'This award gives us national recognition for the work we do and provides us with a sum of money that will enable us to carry on delivering our services. Winning has given a huge boost to our small charity and it has brought a neglected area of child health into focus.'

Recent campaigns include 'Bog Standard', aimed at improving school toilets and 'Water is Cool in Schools', which has been successful in improving drinking water in schools.
