Nurse leads on wellbeing programme
Canterbury Christ Church University has appointed Debra Teasdale as new head of the Department of Health, Wellbeing and the Family. Ms Teasdale, a nurse, will be responsible for programme delivery and responding to the needs of the local health and social care sector.
She said she was keen to provide the latest courses for her students. 'Our programmes of study will need to evolve speedily; recognising and responding to potential opportunities is my priority.?
Ms Teasdale trained as a neonatalist, subsequently becoming an advanced neonatal nurse practitioner, and working in level two and three neonatal units.
In 2002 she began working alongside the RCN as part of a neonatal national forum.
