Erectile dysfunction linked to heart attack risk
Men with erection problems and low testosterone levels are at higher risk of heart attack and dying from cardiovascular disease, Italian researchers have found.
The University of Florence study evaluated more than 1,680 patients attending a clinic for erectile dysfunction.
The findings, presented at the European Congress of Endocrinology last week, showed men with erectile dysfunction and very low testosterone were seven times more likely to have a major heart attack than those with normal testosterone levels.
