NPC publishes new resource for nurse prescribers
The National Prescribing Centre has produced a FAQ about non-medical prescribing on its web site.
The questions have been developed from queries received by the NPC non-medical prescribing programme team. The answers have been reviewed by the NPC and the Department of Health.
The questions include “What can a community practitioner nurse prescriber prescribe?”, “Can non-medical prescribers prescribe unlicensed medicines?” and “How do non-medical prescribers obtain prescription pads?”.
