Postnatal depression campaign reaches out to new mums
Women who suffer postnatal depression are being offered extra support by a campaign run by Take a Break magazine
Chums4mums aims to help mothers overcome postnatal depression by making friends with others in their area.
Over 10,000 women are already registered, and the scheme has been officially adopted by the NHS. From September, health visitors, midwives and GPs will be circulating information about it to patients.
Postnatal depression affects one in five new mothers in the UK.
