Help shape Macmillan's new skill sharing pilot

Macmillan invites you to share your energy and expertise and help us reach even more people affected by cancer.

As you know, the number of people diagnosed with cancer is going to double by 2030 and the demand for our services has never been greater. Whether it’s providing advice on social networks or supporting our mobile information teams across the country – we need the knowledge and skills of nurses like you to help us reach as many people with cancer as possible.

That’s why we’ve launched our exciting new skill sharing pilot. It’s a system created with professionals like you in mind. And because it’s a pilot, your expertise and input will be vital in helping us shape its direction and tailor it even more specifically to your needs.

The first role we are recruiting for is an Online Support Specialist. In the digital age, webchats and social media are becoming an increasingly important way of sharing information with people affected by cancer.  If you’re a CNS based around London or Glasgow and would like to spend 2-3 hours a month sharing your expertise in this way, please get in touch. This is a fantastic opportunity to extend your expertise in the digital field and reach even more people affected by cancer.

  • Great idea. Public need to get involved with caring and supporting relatives with this life-changing/hreatening disease. Much distress and fear can be ironed out with knowledgeable caring family members
