New child continence guidance

Guidance has been developed on dealing with continence issues in children with ano-rectal malformations often associated with Down’s Syndrome.

The continence charity PromoCon has developed new resources regarding children born with Ano-rectal abnormalities such as Hirschsprung’s disease and Imperforate Anus.

They are the result of a three year project with the Down’s Syndrome Association. The guidance will officially be launched in March but online versions are available to download now.
