QNI appoints new vice chair of council
The Queen’s Nursing Institute has appointed a new vice chair of its council to succeed Michael Cooper who has filled the role for 10 years.
Nicky Goulder, who has been a member of the institute’s council for four years, was elected to the role earlier this month.
Ms Goulder is chief executive and co-founder of Create, a charity that uses the creative arts to help transform the lives of disadvantaged and vulnerable people.
She said: “There has never been a greater need for patients to receive the right care in their homes and this is at the heart of the QNI’s work.
“I have seen at first hand the immeasurable impact this can have on patients and their loved ones and look forward to playing my part in this vital work over the coming years.”
Kate Billingham, Chair of the QNI’s Council, commented: “We are very fortunate to have the award-winning chief executive of a dynamic charity as the new vice chair of the QNI’s Council.
“She brings a unique set of skills to the position, which is of huge benefit to us and the work that we do,” she added.
