Bristol trust chief nurse announces departure
A senior nurse at a hospital in Bristol is leaving to take up a new role within the area’s NHS commissioning structure.
Alison Moon, chief nurse at University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust, has been appointed director of transformation and quality at the new Bristol Clinical Commissioning Group.
She will take up the post on 1 April.
She has previously been director of nursing and deputy chief executive at Yeovil District Hospital Foundation Trust, and director of nursing for Bristol North Primary Care Trust.
Jill Shepherd, chief officer designate for the CCG, said: “I am absolutely delighted that Alison will be coming to work with us.
“She will bring with her a wealth of both local and national knowledge and expertise that will be of enormous benefit to us, and will result in better quality services for our patients.”
Ms Moon said “I am really pleased to be joining Bristol CCG at such an exciting and
important time for healthcare in Bristol.
“Having trained at Frenchay Hospital and having worked in both acute trusts, as well as primary care, I am aware of both the challenges and opportunities the development of the CCG brings. I am also really looking forward to much closer working with GPs and practice staff in my new role.”
