North Yorks PCT chief nurse joins new commissioning body
Julie Bolus, NHS North Yorkshire and York chief nurse, has been appointed director of nursing for the Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire local area team of the NHS Commissioning Board.
A board paper from NHS North Yorkshire and York said: “Julie Bolus joined us in October 2011 as director of nursing on secondment from NHS Doncaster, where she had undertaken the role very successfully.
“She had an immediate impact and gained the substantive appointment in April 2012. In a relatively short time she has transformed relationships with key stakeholders and played an important role for the board in providing assurance on both governance and quality, including regulatory concerns.
“Julie has been appointed as director of nursing for the Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire LAT. We are sorry to lose Julie’s services and thank her for all her good work,” the PCT document added.
Under the government’s NHS reforms, local area teams will oversee commissioning at a regional level in a similar way as strategic health authorities do at present. LATs will report to the NHS Commissioning Board and oversee clinical commissioning groups, which will replace primary care trusts.
There will be 27 LATs across England.
