NHS Blood and Transplant has launched online guidance on the prescribing of platelets
The Platelet Transfusion Mobile Site is specifically designed for mobile devices, such as Smartphones or tablets.
It allows clinicians to get advice immediately when considering if a patient needs a platelet transfusion and, if so, what the correct dose is for their needs.
The mobile site is based on guidelines from the British Committee for Standards in Haematology.
