Nursing Times is honoured to have the plight of some of its bloggers picked up by NHS Blog Doctor.
There’s sympathy for student nurse Erin Docherty, less so for mental health nurse Simon Daniels.
The point, and the subject of a debate still simmering in the comments section, centres around the role of the modern nurse.
Obviously Nursing Times supports the expansion and development of the nursing role, and almost as obviously doctors think nurses should ‘nurse’ - and leave the complicated stuff to them.
In any event, the debate is a live one, and we salute NHS Blog Doctor for starting it.
