No my husband is a consultant and i need him at home to carve our turkey as i'm hopeless at it!!

Your husband can carve the turkey at the hospital first. They always eat quite early on Christmas day in all hospitals. If ward managers feel that they must be on duty on Christmas day, why not consultants?

seeing the lapse in time between the last two comments, the answer to your question is probably yes!
However, I like to know the reason for asking such questions before supplying the interlocutor with my response.
