Osteoporosis diagnosis and treatment website launched

A website offering “clear and straight-forward information” to help manage the diagnosis and treatment of patients with osteoporosis has been launched by the Royal College of General Practitioners and the National Osteoporosis Society.

They describe it as the first purpose built online resource on osteoporosis for health professionals working in primary care.

National Osteoporosis Society chief executive Claire Severgnini said: “Without early diagnosis and preventative action, osteoporosis can lead to multiple and disabling fractures, yet many of these can be prevented.

I am delighted that the National Osteoporosis Society has been able to fund and project manage the development of this website.”
