  • Comment on: BNP and nursing ideologies are incompatible

    Richard Hudson's comment 30-Sep-2009 9:43 am

Mike McKeown writes, "Attempting to throw off a reputation for thuggery, they don suits instead of boots. However, this fails to mask their nasty, racist ideology." I have been in nursing for over twenty years. I have a lovely family. I am a committed Christian. I am a BNP member. I have never indulged in thuggery.I do not don a suit instead of boots. I am not a nasty racist who believes nasty racist ideology. Nurses who discriminate against patients for whatever reason should be disciplined, but Mike, to stop someone working in the NHS because of what you consider to be wrong ideology or belief is itself an act of fascism. Can't you see that? Don't be so blinded by hate, because that's what this is, so you don't see that real people, not Nazi monsters, are members of the BNP.

  • Comment on: Call for BNP nurses to be banned from conference

Michael Sandiford said... "The views held by the BNP are racist and bigotted. Therefore in my mind the people who support the BNP hold these opinions also." The key phrase is "in my mind". You build a straw man to knock it down. Study the BNP's policies... bigotted and racist? I don't think so. Nationalism is not racism.

  • Comment on: Calls to ban 'nasty, racist' BNP members from nursing

    Richard Hudson's comment 30-Sep-2009 9:26 am

Mick McKeown and UNISON ought to be banned from the NHS for spouting such left wing offensive, discriminatory, hate filled, anti-worker rubbish! (Actually I don't, I'm just making a point). I find the anti-BNP rant that UNISON, the rest of the TUC and the LibLabCon spew forth with bile and venom deeply offensive, but will it stop? I doubt it very much. When will they stop name-calling, because that's all it is and face up to the policies of the BNP and provide a reasoned alternative? They can't! Because they don't have the understanding and just repeat what they have been brain-washed to think left is right and right is wrong. Still, that's me done. Have a great day and remember, it's patients first!
