Paediatricians need to plan for how they will deal with unexpected but benign brain anomalies in children who undergo MRI scans, an American study suggests.
Investigators from Johns Hopkins Children’s Centre, a hospital and research centre in Maryland, said that doctors needed to figure out what, if anything, they wanted to tell patients about such anomalies that are unlikely to cause any problem. The report is published in the the journal Paediatrics.
