Suicidal boys more likely to injure partners in later life
Boys who attempt suicide before reaching 18 years old are much more likely to be aggressive towards their female partners as adults, according to a new study.
Researchers found that 58 per cent of boys who attempted suicide went on to injure a partner, compared with 23 per cent of young men who had not attempted suicide.
The study was funded by the National Institutes of Health, a part of the US government’s Department of Health and Human Sciences, and is published online in the journal of Psychological Medicine.
