ARNS announces end of life care in respiratory disease course
The Association of Respiratory Nurse Specialists (ARNS) have announced they will be running a two-day course on End of Life Care in Respiratory Disease.
The course is aimed at doctors, nurses and physiotherapists and will use debate, discussion, role play, problem solving and reflective practice to explore end of life issues. Topics included, COPD, end stage interstitial lung disease, communication skills, advance directives and the Mental Capacity Act, and models of end of life care.
The course will take place on 1st and 2nd February 2010 at Education and Research Centre, Wythenshawe Hospital, Manchester. It costs £200.00 for ARNS members, £300.00 for non-ARNS members.
