From an email I received on the 30/09/2011 : "Secondly, and most importantly for RCN members, Council said that a ballot on industrial action was 'inevitable' if our concerns are not addressed by government in the ongoing discussions about your pensions."

The RCN has not changed its position, this what they have been saying for weeks. So how can you say they are now getting the message and posturing?

Anonymous | 8-Feb-2011 3:01 pm Just to clarify your point: a foundation degree is academically equivalently to a diploma, this is most likely because nursing is no longer diploma but degree level. A foundation degree is often run over three years, but the NHS seems to be pushing them through faster at 2 years.
