Comment on: Advanced nursing practice regulation needs 'measured debate', says NMC
I think its very difficult to call. I am currently undertaking the MSc in Advanced practice with colleagues from disciplines outside of nursing. Advanced practice is not unique to nursing, also the role is likely to keep on evolving so perhaps creating a definition and a separate part of the register may well be counter productive.

Comment on: 'Nurses have become too important for basic care', and other nonsense
I recently observed a GP auscultate a young woman with his stethoscope. I must admit I was very impressed as the young lady had her coat on at the time. Perhaps I'm wasting my time studying my MSc in advanced practice and instead spend my hours working on my hand maiden skills instead eh?

Comment on: Conservatives to divert NHS resources to deprived areas
I think that its fair to say that inequalities in health will remain one of those political white elephants. Each party promises to end the problem but the simple truth is that the poor are politically disenfranchised in this country. There's simply no votes in it other than coming out with a headline promise.
