Currently... Ontario, Canada.
35 years too long as a qualified nurse. Degree-standard. Been around the world - seen that, done that. Old and cynical but the day that I think that I cannot learn something new about nursing is the day that I know I should quit.
Oh... I quit yesterday!... Just joking - it was the day before yesterday!
Nahhh... I am just messing with your head... I actually quit 35 years ago! :)
I slightly dislike nurses who take themselves too seriously and consider themselves as "professionals"...
How seriously are we considered to be true "professionals" by society? Compare YOUR salary against that of a Doctor, an architect, a bank manager or even an NHS manager - then you will get a 'real' concept about how seriously nursing is regarded as a profession!

It is a "non-article" - totally devoid of any relevance to nurses - that editors just use to fill column inches (or even pages) in their hard-copy publications to justify their subscription charges. It's really quite nonsensical ans there's no need for the Nursing Times to be trying to "pad-out pages" on here because this is a website not a journal. Perhaps the NT are getting desperate for genuine copy these days? Perhaps they don't understand how the internet works. Perhaps they think it's juat a big system of tubes? :-))

Great Job NT Tl;DR (if you don't get the joke go to http://encyclopediadramatica.ch/TL;DR and maybe you might get an idea) Once again the RCN/NT media uses smoke and mirrors in order to deflect Nurses from the real issues that are actually happening at this time, Playing the government's tune or what? A non-story compared to the end of the NHS or what? Dohhhhh!!!!
