Welcome to the Student Nursing Times Awards
Have you heard of the brand new Student Nursing Times Awards? Do you know a student nurse, lecturer, university or mentor who deserves recognition?
Welcome everyone to the very first Student Nursing Times Awards.
Having had the privilege of attending the Nursing Times Awards last November it feels great to see students and educators alike recognised for the amazing contribution they make to the nursing profession.
As students we can feel great anxiety and genuine concern as we progress through our three years of training.
The profession that we have chosen to enter seems to be under constant attack from the media and even government. The Student Nursing Times Award hopes to dispel some of that anxiety and make you feel proud to be a student nurse.
However, we recognise that it’s not just a student’s determination that creates a good nurse.
It is the numerous qualified staff, universities and lecturers which line the students journey from induction day to graduation.
In the past their valued and essential support may not have got the recognition which it deserves but now I am pleased to say that we will be recognising all those who helped make the next generation of nurses the very best.
So join me in a celebration of all that is great about student nursing. Visit the site, look at the categories and then make your nominations.
