The Food Hospital: can you eat your way to health?

What do you think of the series where foodstuffs are recommended to ease the symptoms of certain conditions?

The programme follows people with health problems and dietitians give them advice on the foods they could be eating that may improve their symptoms. But can diet really conquer erectile dysfunction and give relief from burning cystitis? Is chili a “real food hero”?

Does The Food Hospital play a public health role in promoting healthy diets and lifestyles or is it a case of sensational viewing whereby we end up looking at the those who are unwell as a means of entertainment?

Let us know what you think.

  • What? The Food Hospital, Channel 4
  • When? Wednesdays at 8pm

  • I don't believe that diet or so called super foods can cure all ills but a healthy diet may help alleviate some of the symptoms of some of the conditions.
What I do hope this programme gets across to people is that they should take responsibility for their own health, it seems to me we have become a culture that looks for and expects a pill to cure all ills never mind the side effects of that pill just take another to get rid of those side effects. If this programme helps people to look take a look at their life styles then in my opinion its done its job
