I am an ex nursing sister having worked in acute surgical areas. I am now a social researcher but for the past 20 months have been working as a decision navigator on a decision support study in the Edinburgh Cancer Centre.
My ambition is to undertake a review of the transfer of older people from hospital to care home as I feel there are areas connected to this event such as quality of life, discharge planning and care home finances which impact on the older person and their family.
