Catherine Zeta Jones meets nurses at children's hospital
Hollywood star Catherine Zeta Jones met nurses and other staff when she visited the Children’s Hospital at the University of Wales Hospital in Cardiff with her husband, actor Michael Douglas.
The Welsh actress is patron of Noah’s Ark, a charity that raises funds for the the Children’s Hospital, and Ms Zeta Jones and Mr Douglas heard about plans for stage two of the hospital’s redevelopment.
Ms Zeta Jones praised the hospital’s ethos. “What I was thrilled about was that the parents were very happy with the environment and very open with the nurses and having fun and the children, as sick as they are, have that environment,” she said.
