Colchester nurses join the procession
Neonatal sister Sheila Dempsey was one of a group of nurses from Colchester General Hospital who took part in the Essex town’s carnival last month.
Colchester Hospital University Foundation Trust’s children’s heart scanner appeal was one of five charities chosen to benefit from money raised by the carnival procession this year.
The aim of the appeal is to raise £60,000 to buy a heart scanner exclusively for the use of babies and children at Colchester General Hospital. Currently, staff have to borrow a scanner from colleagues in the cardio-respiratory department.
