Electrocardiograph warning issued
The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency has issued a warning over all models of CP200 Electrocardiographs, manufactured by Welch Allyn.
The MHRA warned that when using the device in Auto ECG and Stat ECG modes, it is possible to print a previous patient’s ECG if the Auto ECG Post-Print screen is not exited properly. As a result, there is a risk of patients receiving the wrong ECG report, leading to misdiagnosis and incorrect treatment.
