Electroencephalography warning issued
A warning has been issued about the potential for confusion over electroencephalography readings when using a device that can have different software set ups.
The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency has said the NicoletOne System EEG recorder normally has a standard left/right headbox configuration, but those with software versions 5.3, 5.4 and 5.7 can also have right/left headbox configurations.
The MHRA has received reports of misinterpreted EEG readings as a result.
