A medical device alert has been issued for Liftmaster 160 and 190 electrical hoists, manufactured by Patterson Medical.
The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency said the “boom and spreader” bar on serial numbers SN4000001 and SN4001999 can detach from the hoist during use, risking injury to the patient.
