Maintain pressure on reforms to protect NHSMHRA warning over Receptal PVC suction liner
The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency has issued an alert over Receptal PVC suction liners, manufactured by Hospira.
The MHRA said: “Due to a manufacturing fault, the lid of Receptal PVC suction liners may not be correctly aligned. When fitted to the suction canister this can result in an inadequate seal and loss of suction.”
Up to 10 per cent of the affected suction liners have exhibited misaligned lids so far. Details of the affected devices are available from the MHRA website.
