St Helens Hospital officially opened
The Duke of York officially opened St Helens Hospital at the end of June, visiting staff and patients in the chemotherapy, radiology and cardio respiratory departments.

The building actually opened its doors to patients in 2008.
St Helens and Knowsley Teaching Hospitals Trust also opened a second new hospital, at Whiston, to patients in March.
The Duke of York said: “I’ve spoken to many patients who are clearly impressed with the high standard of care they are receiving.”
