Maintain pressure on reforms to protect NHSSurvey asks NHS staff for views on innovation
The first national survey asking NHS staff for their views on improvement and innovation has been launched.
The first National Innovation and Improvement Survey has been published in partnership with health authorities across England and Northern Ireland.
The NHS Institute for Innovation and Improvement document will give staff the opportunity to suggest ideas and discuss how innovation in the NHS could be encouraged.
Information gathered will be used by the NHS Institute to prioritise programmes for development in 2010.
Lynne Maher, head of innovation practice at the iInstitute, said: ‘The frontline NHS staff we work with every day fully understand the value of finding new solutions to old problems. But they’re often so busy dealing with day-to-day issues that they struggle to contribute to national debates on where innovation efforts should be focused or share their ideas.’
The survey closes on 8 June 2009 and can be accessed online at www.institute.nhs.uk/innovationsurvey.
