An electronic malnutrition screening tool is to be made available on the NHS.
The Malnutrition Universal Screening Tool (MUST) was developed at Southampton University and has been piloted 200 UK centres.
The program uses a flowchart and five-step calculation to identify patients at risk of being malnourished or obese.
Earlier this year, an agreement was signed to incorporate MUST into the NHS national programme for IT.
